Old Crow Medicine Show has spent more than 25 years carrying American roots music forward, helping spark a revival of string-band music while building a sound and live show unmistakably their own. The band has earned a reputation for exhilarating, high-energy performances that connect old-time, folk, bluegrass, country and rock & roll with a distinctly modern spirit. Best known for “Wagon Wheel,” co-written by Old Crow founder and frontman Ketch Secor with Bob Dylan, Old Crow has built a celebrated catalog of original music, collaborated with artists across generations and influenced many of the roots and Americana artists who have followed in their wake. Members of the Grand Ole Opry since 2013, the two-time GRAMMY Award-winning band has gone from busking on street corners to performing on some of the world’s most celebrated stages, while remaining one of roots music’s most enduring and dynamic live acts. The 2026 Holiday Hootenanny tour arrives in the midst of another banner year for Old Crow. The band’s critically acclaimed album Union Made, released earlier this year, has spent multiple weeks at No. 1 on the Americana Albums chart, while “Last American Waltz,” featuring Molly Tuttle, spent multiple weeks atop the Americana Singles chart. Their most collaborative album yet, Union Made features contributions from Molly Tuttle, Del and Ronnie McCoury, Evan Felker, Ray Benson, Maggie Rose, Jesse Welles and others, and has earned praise from outlets including Relix, MOJO, MusicRow, Whiskey Riff and AmericanaUK. Now Old Crow turns its attention back to the holidays. In 2025, the band released OCMS XMAS, its first full-length Christmas album, featuring 11 original songs alongside fresh takes on holiday classics. The album brought Old Crow’s singular mix of string-band energy, humor, heart and communal spirit to the season—and took the band to national television with performances on The Kelly Clarkson Show and CBS Saturday Morning. After launching the Holiday Hootenanny in 2025, Old Crow is bringing it back for a second year, mixing songs from OCMS XMAS with fan favorites and holiday classics. At its heart, the Holiday Hootenanny is what Old Crow does best: a spirited, unpredictable, high-energy night of music built to be shared.
