Cookie Policy

What these technologies are

Cookies are small text records stored by a browser. Local storage and similar technologies can also remember information on a device. Some are necessary for a requested service; others may support measurement or advertising.

Necessary technologies

Necessary technologies support account sessions, authentication, security, fraud prevention, saved privacy choices, and functions specifically requested by a visitor. These are not disabled by optional privacy choices because the site may not work correctly without them.

Preferences

The Gig Scene may remember settings such as consent choices or interface preferences. The consent record identifies whether optional analytics or advertising permission was granted and when the choice was updated.

Analytics

Optional analytics may be used to understand site traffic and improve event discovery. The current privacy controls treat analytics separately from advertising. The Gig Scene will not represent an optional analytics provider as active unless it has actually been configured.

Direct and house advertising

Direct Gig Scene advertising uses the location context of a search or listing to select eligible ZIP-radius campaigns. Limited impression and click records help operate campaign reports. House advertisements promote The Gig Scene services. These systems are separate from Google AdSense.

Google AdSense

If Google AdSense is activated, Google may use cookies, local storage, device information, IP address, advertising identifiers, and interaction data to deliver and measure ads. Where consent is required, The Gig Scene does not request an AdSense ad before the required advertising consent signal is available. Google Auto Ads are currently disabled.

Managing choices

Use Privacy Choices at any time to review or change optional Analytics and Advertising choices. Browser controls can also remove cookies and local storage, although doing so may sign you out or reset saved preferences.
